Ra's Bio
This is the story of a journey which started in my teens at school where I started a threeman band, in the days of Skiffle and Rock 'n Roll and ended up working with a superb musician with a computer in a backroom in the northwest of Croatia. In those early times I composed a couple of instrumentals, days of Hank Marvin etc. and one or two songs, sadly all gone from the memory.
Unfortunately in those early days the arts in any form were frowned upon at school and no encouragement given to those who expressed an interest in them. Life intervened and I got sent off to sea. Through the years I wrote a bit of poetry from time to time and then 30 odd years ago I wrote a song relating bodies to different forms of rock. I was a member of a Rock Climbing club and at one of our annual get togethers I performed it. However it was more of a joke, caberet kind of performance. Somehow though I knew I wanted to turn it into a real production and over the years I did drop hints to people I met from time to time with the idea of getting together to produce it. However it wasn't until circumstances and life combined to turn this inner desire into a reality.
I had unfortunately been forced, prematurely, to give up a career in teaching which I loved, due to man's inhumanity to man. A highly successful one according to many students, once every year I was told by at least one student I was the best they had ever had and perhaps the nicest comment being, that I reminded the student of Robin William's character in Dead Poet's Society.

I lost a career and a wife all at the same time, however it left me free to build a new life and fate conspired to lead me on a path of artistic development. I believe it would be true to say that Geno lit the fire of inspiration for many new lyrical words flowed. I have felt for many years that there are few if any songs which appeal to all generations. I follow the format of R&B, Rock and Roll and Pop, simple songs of life, the words being the most important ingredient.
My style of song writing is about creating lyrics in a form whereby I hope they are easy to remember and they have a universal feel to them. Obviously personal yet at the same time concepts which people can relate to within their own lives.
There are few songs here at the moment because we only commenced working together in 2006 and due to time and circumstances are not able to produce quantity. Further to this due to the way we work, the artistic energy put into each one requires a period of time to elapse before we start work on another. We hope the quality will make up for the quantity. If you like them and would like to hear more, one way to help us would be to tell your friends about the site which will then provide us with the freedom to finish the creation of lyrics, of which there are many, into musical works of art.
Just a cup of coffee!
I have a great depth of gratitude and thanks to Geno for his stunning contribution to my songwriting, and also my love and thanks go out to Linda and Bee for their inspirational presence, inspiring the creation of some of the songs.
