Studio Band
A warm welcome to our website. We hope you appreciate the style. We love the colours of life which in their own way express the complexity of life and all it's pleasures. We are a studio band because, sadly, Ra is unable to sing solo. He is such a free spirit that timing is not and will probably never be his forte, since his timing is unique, to say the least. We would also love to hear singers with far superior voices to ours covering our songs and making them their own. Most of them lend themselves to interpretation in different genres.
How did it all happen?
In September 2006 in a year that had seen Ra's (Lyricist) life turned upside down and a change in lifestyle, he attended his best friend Edo's wedding in Bjelovar, Croatia. There in a conversation with the bride's half brother Geno (the musician) about his backroom studio, Ra sung a few lines of a song "Like a Rock Star" and Geno liked it enough to suggest they got togther to produce a finished song. Ra checked out Geno was serious, because sometimes things can be said in the spirit of the moment which are not always followed through. He was deadly serious and so Ra returned to Bjelovar sometime later to produce "Like a Rock Star" (Part one). Very important, the 'Part one' for there are four other verses of the song still to be produced.
They had a magical time working together, a 25 year old song linked to a highly talent young musician with a dedication to learning his craft, sound recording, and a wonderful ear for musical development. It was made even more memorable, for we are generations apart (21st Century meets 1960's) and Ra will always treasure Geno's comment to some of his friends who asked him who this stranger was, staying with him. "A forgotten Rock Star", seared on Ra's soul forever. We produced a memorable song, which we believe has a unique musical style and lyrics which have a twist within them that I hope people will spend time contemplating. We strive to bring a different and if possible unique style to our productions Ra's style of song writing is about creating lyrics in a form whereby he hopes they are easy to remember and they have a universal feel to them. Obviously personal yet at the same time concepts which people can relate to within their own lives. They went on to record a few more songs which will all be released in due time. This website has been developed as a result of Linger Longer and our belief that it is a classic song and a belief in our own abilities to produce universal music to be appreciated by all generations, attempting to follow in the footsteps of the golden ages of popular music. As mentioned Ra lives in the Uk and Geno in Croatia so if you like our songs please buy them so that we can fund the production of our songs.
